Each leaf is hand crafted in 9ct gold, wiith a soft brushed finish to mimic the softness of new leaves. The top leaf hides your dormouse as she sleeps, so when you wear your brooch, she is your secret, kept safe until you choose to open the bramble leaf to reveal her in her crocheted gold nest. Snug as a, well, dormouse in a nest! I like to think this little one is fast asleep bescause she's stuffed herself full of the juicy blackberries that surround her. The scattered Indian rubies gleam from juicy gold berries, sprouting from a criss crossing sterling silver frame.
