The Flora & Fauna Rings
Detailed textured rings celebrating the infinite variety of flora & fauna
Choose the one for you, or use these as your inspiration for a bespoke design.
The Flora & Fauna Rings are a collection of hand made rings taking inspiration from the infinite variety in the natural world.
Each ring has been designed to reflect the essence of a different flower, leaf or animal, mostly from the British countryside, but not all. The Pitto is bold and exotic, the Briar Rose and Poppy more subtle and intricate. These rings are never cast, each one is handmade to order, layering up metals and textures to give depth, and then graved by hand to add detail. Please allow a 6 week lead time when ordering from this collection.
I found a selection of flower sketches in some old sketchbooks I had made many years ago, and chose five favourites to work up into jewellery designs. The idea behind the style is to translate the quality of the sketched pencil line into the finished metal design. Sometimes the line is slightly frayed, sometimes clean, sometimes fine, sometimes deep, as though pulled from the page and wrapped around your finger.
The newest members of this family are the Perfect Pairs - each featuring a native British animal. If you would like to see a creature in ring form, let me know!
Perhaps you have a flower that has deep meaning for you. Whether it is for a wedding ring, a birthday, a graduation or celebration, or a commemoration, I am always happy to discuss bespoke pieces with you. Pieces along the theme of the Flora Series can be made to fit your exact needs as a one off, unique piece. Explore the gallery on the Bespoke Design Consultation page to see some past examples.
The type of piece is up to you as well, it does not have to be a ring. This style can be made as a bracelet, earrings, pendant...even a hair ornament if you wish! The possibilities are endless.
