For all of those blushing, or not so blushing, brides amongst you as the Spring wedding season comes ever closer, its time to turn your attention to the details of your day.

No doubt the dress was picked out months ago, has been altered to perfection. Everything is booked and ready to go, but something is nagging in the back of your mind. What have I forgotten? The devil's in the details...

Sometimes you need to take a day off to gather inspiration, so take yourself down to the amazing Bowes Museum lace collection and you'll get all the inspiration you need. The brilliant Glass Cube Gallery allows you to see how the lace is made, with regular lace making sessions, and until April 2012, you can take part here in an array of activities from designing to making your own lace. If you've never tried it before, why not have a go? You can see the programme of events with the 98 lace group by clicking here.
